You have promised ,
24 so that Your name will be established and magnified forever when it is said, ‘The LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, is God over Israel.’ And may the house of Your servant David be established before You.

will be established
וְיִגְדַּ֨ל

and magnified

forever

when it is said ,
יְהוָ֤ה
Yah·weh
‘ The LORD
צְבָאוֹת֙
ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ
of Hosts ,
אֱלֹהֵ֣י
’ĕ·lō·hê
the God
יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל
yiś·rā·’êl
of Israel ,
אֱלֹהִ֖ים
’ĕ·lō·hîm
is God
לְיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל
lə·yiś·rā·’êl
over Israel . ’
וּבֵית־
ū·ḇêṯ-
And may the house
עַבְדְּךָ֖
‘aḇ·də·ḵā
of Your servant
דָּוִ֥יד
dā·wîḏ
David
נָכ֥וֹן
nā·ḵō·wn
be established
לְפָנֶֽיךָ׃
lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā
before You .
25 For You, my God, have revealed to Your servant that You will build a house for him. Therefore Your servant has found the courage to pray before You.

to Your servant
לִבְנ֥וֹת
liḇ·nō·wṯ
that You will build
בָּ֑יִת
bā·yiṯ
a house
ל֖וֹ

for him .
עַל־
‘al-

כֵּן֙
kên
Therefore
עַבְדְּךָ֔
‘aḇ·də·ḵā
Your servant
מָצָ֣א
mā·ṣā
has found the courage
לְהִתְפַּלֵּ֖ל
lə·hiṯ·pal·lêl
to pray
לְפָנֶֽיךָ׃
lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā
before You .
26 And now, O LORD, You are God! And You have promised this goodness to Your servant.
וְעַתָּ֣ה
wə·‘at·tāh
And now ,
יְהוָ֔ה
Yah·weh
O LORD ,
אַתָּה־
’at·tāh-
You
ה֖וּא

are
הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים
hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm
God !
וַתְּדַבֵּר֙
wat·tə·ḏab·bêr
And You have promised
הַזֹּֽאת׃
haz·zōṯ
this
הַטּוֹבָ֖ה
haṭ·ṭō·w·ḇāh
goodness
עַֽל־
‘al-
to
עַבְדְּךָ֔
‘aḇ·də·ḵā
Your servant .
27 So now You have been pleased to bless the house of Your servant, that it may continue forever before You. For You, O LORD, have blessed it, and it will be blessed forever.”
וְעַתָּ֗ה

הוֹאַ֙לְתָּ֙

You have been pleased
לְבָרֵךְ֙
lə·ḇā·rêḵ
to bless
אֶת־
’eṯ-

בֵּ֣ית
bêṯ
the house
עַבְדְּךָ֔
‘aḇ·də·ḵā
of Your servant ,
לִהְי֥וֹת
lih·yō·wṯ
that it may continue
לְעוֹלָ֖ם
lə·‘ō·w·lām
forever
לְפָנֶ֑יךָ
lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā
before You .
כִּֽי־
kî-
For
אַתָּ֤ה
’at·tāh
You ,
יְהוָה֙
Yah·weh
O LORD ,
בֵּרַ֔כְתָּ
bê·raḵ·tā
have blessed it ,
וּמְבֹרָ֖ךְ
ū·mə·ḇō·rāḵ
and [it will be] blessed
לְעוֹלָֽם׃פ
lə·‘ō·w·lām
forever . ”
