It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Freely ye have received, freely give.

Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

He that soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

Whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will He pay him again.

Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.
