A Little Study of the 7 Thunders

Chapter 12

Steps of the Chiasmus - Part 3

And this is what we have all been waiting for!

Thunder 7 includes chapters 19, 20, 21 and 22.

19:6 the victory for the eklesia and the marriage, followed by a view of the future millennium and then New Jerusalem.

  • This is God’s Righteousness fulfilled as He wills and for His desire
  • And it includes us!

In chapter 19 the story continues with what's happening in Heaven during the time of the 7 Vials. So what's happening in Heaven? A great celebration - and a wedding!!

And I heard a sound like the roar of a great multitude, like the rushing of many waters, and like a mighty rumbling of thunder, crying out: “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give Him the glory. For the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself ready."

Now, about the honeymoon... We need to get something out of the way before we can go on our honeymoon with the Lamb. We need to put an end to the Antichrist, so we all jump on our white horses and follow Jesus to win the battle of Armageddon. The Beast and the False Prophet are taken captive and sent to their punishment.

In chapter 20 the Dragon is captured and sent to prison. And we end up helping to rule during the Millennium. A thousand years of Christ's Kingdom on Earth! The Earth is healed in many ways, not perfect yet, but way better than before. We're not done yet, though. There is one more test of mankind. You see, not everyone died during the Wrath of God. Many survived and were given the honor to live during the millenium and they had descendents. So there are several kingdoms.

Verses 7, 8 and 9: When the thousand years are complete, Satan will be released from his prison, and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—to assemble them for battle. Their number is like the sand of the seashore. And they marched across the broad expanse of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. But fire came down from heaven and consumed them.

After this comes the Great White Throne judgment.

Verse 12: And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne. And books were opened, and one of them was the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their deeds, as recorded in the books.

In chapter 21, well let's let John tell us:

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying:

“Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man, and He will dwell with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God. ‘He will wipe away every tear from their eyes,’ and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away.”

And the One seated on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.”

Then He said, “Write this down, for these words are faithful and true.”

And He told me,

“It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give freely from the spring of the water of life. The one who overcomes will inherit all things, and I will be his God, and he will be My son."

In Chapter 22 we are shown even more details about Heaven on Earth.

This is followed by an invitation from Jesus and His Bride:

"I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely."
