A Little Study of the 7 Thunders
Chapter 13
The Fourth Thunder
Let's briefly review what we can learn from the 7 Thunders Chiasmus.
Okay! Well, that's it! Did I say that this was a "Little" study?
Yes, this was just a little study, be sure to search the scriptures yourselves.
Acts 17:11
Now the Bereans were more noble-minded than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if these teachings were true.
THE FOURTH THUNDER
If there's one thing we can learn from applying the 7 thunders as a chiasmus outlining the prophecy, it's that the fourth thunder would be the most important part of the message. All of the Book of Revelation is important, of course, but the chiasmus points us to the fourth thunder which incorporates three chapters 11, 12, and 13.
Chapter 12 is the most important of the three chapters, but Chapter 13 deserves some attention.
Chapter 13 goes into detail about the enemy with some clear details on how to recognize them. It's probably the most quoted chapter in end-of-the-world movies.
But Chapter 12 is central and it's the chapter telling us about Jesus and His Church.
Revelation 12:5
And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter. And her child was caught up to God and to His throne.
Revelation 12:10-11
And I heard a loud voice in heaven saying: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ. For the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down—he who accuses them day and night before our God. They have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony."
So according to the Chiasmus of the 7 Thunders, throughout all of history and these prophecies of the future, the most important thing to learn, to remember, to know, is that God has sent Jesus to save us! Everything else that's going to happen just falls in place around this message, this truth, this Gospel.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
