וַתַּעֲמִדֵ֖נִי

and set me

רַגְלָ֑י
raḡ·lāy
my feet .
וַיְדַבֵּ֤ר
way·ḏab·bêr
He spoke
אֹתִי֙
’ō·ṯî
with me
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר
way·yō·mer
and said
אֵלַ֔י
’ê·lay

בֹּ֥א

“ Go ,
הִסָּגֵ֖ר
his·sā·ḡêr
shut yourself
בְּת֥וֹךְ
bə·ṯō·wḵ
inside
בֵּיתֶֽךָ׃
bê·ṯe·ḵā
your house .
25 And you, son of man, they will tie with ropes, and you will be bound so that you cannot go out among the people.
וְאַתָּ֣ה
wə·’at·tāh
And you ,
בֶן־
ḇen-
son
אָדָ֗ם
’ā·ḏām
of man ,
הִנֵּ֨ה
hin·nêh
. . .
נָתְנ֤וּ
nā·ṯə·nū
they will tie
עֲבוֹתִ֔ים
‘ă·ḇō·w·ṯîm
with ropes
עָלֶ֙יךָ֙
‘ā·le·ḵā
- ,
וַאֲסָר֖וּךָ
wa·’ă·sā·rū·ḵā
and you will be bound
וְלֹ֥א
wə·lō
so that you cannot
תֵצֵ֖א
ṯê·ṣê
go out
בְּתוֹכָֽם׃
bə·ṯō·w·ḵām
among [the people] .
26 I will make your tongue stick to the roof of your mouth, and you will be silent and unable to rebuke them, though they are a rebellious house.
וּלְשֽׁוֹנְךָ֙

I will make your tongue

stick
אֶל־

to
חִכֶּ֔ךָ
ḥik·ke·ḵā
the roof of your mouth ,
וְנֶֽאֱלַ֔מְתָּ
wə·ne·’ĕ·lam·tā
and you will be silent
וְלֹא־
wə·lō-
and unable
תִֽהְיֶ֥ה
ṯih·yeh

לָהֶ֖ם
lā·hem
לְאִ֣ישׁ
lə·’îš

מוֹכִ֑יחַ
mō·w·ḵî·aḥ
to rebuke them ,
כִּ֛י

though
הֵֽמָּה׃
hêm·māh
they
מְרִ֖י
mə·rî
are a rebellious
בֵּ֥ית
bêṯ
house .
27 But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you are to tell them, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says.’ Whoever listens, let him listen; and whoever refuses, let him refuse, for they are a rebellious house.

וְאָמַרְתָּ֣

and you are to tell
אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם
’ă·lê·hem
them ,
כֹּ֥ה
kōh
‘ This is what
אֲדֹנָ֣י
’ă·ḏō·nāy
the Lord
יְהֹוִ֑ה
Yah·weh
GOD
אָמַ֖ר
’ā·mar
says . ’
יִשְׁמָע֙
yiš·mā‘
Whoever listens ,
הַשֹּׁמֵ֤עַ׀
haš·šō·mê·a‘
let him listen ;
יֶחְדָּ֔ל
yeḥ·dāl
and whoever refuses ,
וְהֶחָדֵ֣ל׀
wə·he·ḥā·ḏêl
let him refuse ,
כִּ֛י
