24 So I will bring the most wicked of nations to take possession of their houses. I will end the pride of the mighty, and their holy places will be profaned.

וְנָשִׂיא֙
wə·nā·śî
the prince
יִלְבַּ֣שׁ
yil·baš
will be clothed
שְׁמָמָ֔ה
šə·mā·māh
with despair ,
וִידֵ֥י
wî·ḏê
and the hands
עַם־
‘am-
of the people
הָאָ֖רֶץ
hā·’ā·reṣ
of the land
תִּבָּהַ֑לְנָה
tib·bā·hal·nāh
will tremble .
אֶעֱשֶׂ֤ה
’e·‘ĕ·śeh
I will deal
אוֹתָם֙
’ō·w·ṯām
with them
מִדַּרְכָּ֞ם
mid·dar·kām
according to their conduct ,
אֶשְׁפְּטֵ֔ם
’eš·pə·ṭêm
and I will judge them
וּבְמִשְׁפְּטֵיהֶ֣ם
ū·ḇə·miš·pə·ṭê·hem
by their own standards .
וְיָדְע֖וּ
wə·yā·ḏə·‘ū
Then they will know
כִּֽי־
kî-
that
אֲנִ֥י
’ă·nî
I
יְהוָֽה׃פ
Yah·weh
am the LORD . ’”
