Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

You, little children, are from God and have overcome them, because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.

He will come like a raging flood, driven by the breath of the LORD.

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made the good confession before many witnesses.

And do not give the devil a foothold.

The weapons of our warfare are not the weapons of the flesh. Instead, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every presumption set up against the knowledge of God; and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Be sober-minded and alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in your faith.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can make your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

This is why the Son of God was revealed, to destroy the works of the devil.

The word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

And the Lord will rescue me from every evil action and bring me safely into His heavenly kingdom. To Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
