Indeed, all who desire to live godly lives in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets before you.

If God is for us, who can be against us?

For I will give you speech and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.

When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next.

And you will be hated by everyone because of My name. Yet not even a hair of your head will perish. By your patient endurance you will gain your souls.

Remember the word that I spoke to you: ‘No servant is greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you as well; if they kept My word, they will keep yours as well.

For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for Him,

But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

They will put you out of the synagogues. In fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God.

If their purpose or endeavor is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop them. You may even find yourselves fighting against God.
