Yes, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

If God be for us, who can be against us?

For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

When they persecute you in this city, flee you into another.

And you shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake. But there shall not an hair of your head perish. In your patience possess you your souls.

If this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nothing: But if it be of God, you cannot overthrow it; lest haply you be found even to fight against God.
